State Patrol: 1 Dead In Head-On Crash On Lafayette Bridge
ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – One person is dead after a head-on crash on the Lafayette Bridge in St. Paul early Saturday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities responded to the crash on the northbound side of the bridge. The State Patrol had limited information about the accident, but said it involved one vehicle, a 1999 GMC Yukon. The driver of the Yukon, a 45-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the victim has not been released. The Minnesota State Patrol said what led up to the accident is still under investigation with assistance from Ramsey Police.
