2 Mondale Sons To Do Readings At Mom's Service

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Former President Jimmy Carter and Vice President Joe Biden will pay tribute to Joan Adams Mondale and her two sons will read from Scripture at the former second lady's memorial service.

A program for Saturday's service provides a look at the service for the wife of former Vice President Walter Mondale. It was posted Friday on the website of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis.

William and Ted Mondale will do Bible readings along with Chan Poling, the husband of Joan Mondale's late daughter Eleanor.

Biden and Carter are both listed as providing remembrances during the service.

The program also includes remarks from a friend of Joan Mondale in the art community and a recessional by the Macalester College Pipe Band. She and her husband met at the St. Paul college.
