Minneapolis Police Investigate Overnight Homicide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An investigation is underway after a man was found with critical injuries after an alleged shooting in Minneapolis, according to authorities.

The man, whose identity has not been released, died from his injuries on Sunday, after being transported to North Memorial Medical Center Saturday night.

Authorities say the incident happened around 11:40 p.m. Saturday, at a home on the 1800 block of Hillside Avenue.

They received a call regarding a shooting and upon arrival, found the man lying in the entry way of the home. He died the next day at the hospital.

The medical examiner will release the identity of the man as well as the cause of his death at a later time.
