ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities said they are investigating a death in St. Paul early Tuesday morning after a dispute in the Dayton's Bluff area.

Police were called around 1 a.m. to the 700 block of East 3rd Street after a reported dispute in the area.

When they arrived, they found a man dead inside a residence. It wasn't immediately clear how the man died, but police said the parties involved likely knew each other and a physical fight occurred while they were allegedly drinking.

"We did question suspects, and investigators are looking into what happened," said St. Paul spokesman Paul Paulos.
