It's Almost Spring In Minn., And It's Starting To Feel Like It

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – After 50 below zero days and a top 10 ranking in snow depth this winter, the sound of melting snow in the metro Thursday was a much-anticipated sign that spring is near.

WCCO-TV meteorologist Lauren Casey was talking to Minnesotans who were out and about in Thursday's 50-degree weather. (You can see their reactions to the shot of spring in the video above.)

From December to February, Minnesota had only five days at 40 degrees or warmer. Since Sunday, Minnesotans have had four, including one day in the 50s.

Spring, officially, is now just one week away.
