ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) — The Archdiocese of St. Cloud has released the names of four priests who have had substantiated claims of sexual abuse of minors in the past.

According to Bishop Donald Kettler, the four names that have been added to the growing list of priests allegedly involved in sex abuse were Neil Emon, Gerald Funcheon, Justin Weger, and James Moeglein. Of those four, Weger has since died.

“It is my hope that the release of these names will give validation to the survivors of abuse who have already come forward, and I pray it will also empower those who have remained silent to also come forward,” Kettler said.

A court order issued earlier required the release of the names of all local priests accused of abusing children since 2004.

A number of names have already been released. The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minnesota have set up a webpage with all the information they have released.
