Forbes: Eagan Among 25 Best Suburbs For Retirement
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Eagan, Minn. was listed as one of 25 best suburbs to retire in in 2014 by Forbes.com.
The business magazine put together a list of 25 suburbs that they think are ideal for retirement based on location, economic value and other amenities such as health care and mass transit.
Forbes reports they set a limit of 35 miles from the suburb to the "big-city," sought towns that have a median home value of $300,000 or less and have an average home price of $242,000.
According to Forbes, they one thing they did not take into account was population of the suburb.
Eagan was listed among towns such as McKinney, Tex., Gilbert, Ariz., Fitchburg, Wis. and Urbandale, Iowa.
