Woman's Body Found In Rural Dakota County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities are investigating after a woman's body was found Saturday, in a wooded area in rural Dakota County.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office said the body was found around 5:30 p.m. on Presley Circle, north of 175th Street East in Ravenna Township.

The landowner discovered the body and called authorities. Officials said it appeared she had been there less than 36 hours.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify the victim. She's described as in her late 20s, early 30s, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, about 190 pounds with reddish hair and blonde highlights.

She was found wearing starfish earrings and has a vine-shaped tattoo with blue ink across her lower back.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner is investigating the cause of death and will release their findings at a later date.
