Wild G Harding Up For Masterton Trophy

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Wild goaltender Josh Harding has been nominated again for the NHL's Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.

The award is presented annually to the player who best exemplifies perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey. Harding won the 2013 Masterton Trophy last June.

Harding is 18-7-3 and leads the league with a 1.65 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage in 29 games this season. He has set career-highs this season in wins, shutouts (3), shutout streak (131:36), goals-against average and save percentage.

Harding was placed on injured reserve on Jan. 2 as he battles multiple sclerosis, which was diagnosed in the fall of 2012. He returned to practice with the team last week.

The Twin Cities chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association announced Harding's nomination Tuesday.
