WCCO Weather Watchers Visit WCCO Studio

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – WCCO had some guests who are always keen on what's happening outside at the station visit Saturday to see what's happening on the inside.

Many of the WCCO Weather Watchers came for a tour Saturday.

During every newscast WCCO talks about the Weather Watcher Network.

It's made up of viewers, like you, who help our meteorologists shape their forecast.

Over the last year and a half, the Weather Watcher Network has grown to more than 1,100 people.

Some of our most active members spent the day here at WCCO.

These are the people who contribute every day several times a day.

Let's face it, this winter kept them very busy.

Some of the weather watchers are even getting recognized around their towns.

"I get noticed, 'bout every time I go to grocery store somebody will say, 'I've seen your name on TV. You're our weather watcher.' And it's like, 'cool'," weather watcher Bill Fette said.

"Well it's funny to see someone you know and even funnier to see my picture," weather watcher Linda Hemberger said.

The weather watchers toured the station, learned how the mobile weather watcher works and spent some time on the WCCO rooftop.
