None Hurt And Pets Escape West Metro House Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A cat and a dog managed to get out of an otherwise unoccupied house that caught fire in the west metro Wednesday morning, officials say.

A neighbor phoned authorities shortly before 11 a.m. after seeing smoke coming from the home on the 8400 block of Ox Yoke Circle in Minnetrista, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says.

Firefighters from multiple departments responded to the scene and knocked down the flames. No one was hurt in the process.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Minnetrista is about 25 miles west of Minneapolis.
