Salsa Experts To Battle At Midtown Global Market
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Salsa makers are competing in a contest Saturday at the Midtown Global Market as part of their Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Manny Gonzalez says it all starts with some basic ingredients.

"Tomatoes, onions, cilantro, peppers and garlic," Gonzales said.
But he said the flair comes in the stuff you add.
"If you add pineapple, it becomes pineapple salsa. If you add mangos and pineapple and strawberries, it becomes a tropical salsa," he said.
Gonzalez is making his own creation Saturday night.
The Midtown Global Market will also have music and mariachi bands.
