St. Paul Police Say Woman Dies In Dispute

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- St. Paul police say a woman has died in a dispute at a home on the city's East Side.

Police were called to the home just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The woman was dead when officers arrived.

Police issued a statement Sunday saying investigators have learned it was not a domestic dispute. The statement says the woman was married and the suspect, a 54-year-old man, was a friend. Investigators say they're still gathering information on the dispute between them.

The suspect has been identified as Willie Chestnut, of St. Paul.

The woman's name, age and cause of death have not been released.

The case will be referred to the Ramsey County attorney's office for possible charges.
