Report: More Minnesotans Are Bike Commuting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A new report from the U.S. Census Bureau shows the number of Minnesota commuters biking to work is on the incline.
The amount of bikers has more than doubled from 1.9 percent in 2000 to 4.1 percent in 2012.
Other cities with a bike-commuter rate higher than three percent are Portland, Denver, Seattle, San Francisco, Boise, Washington D.C., and Madison, Wis.
Minneapolis has an estimated 8,300 bike commuters.
