Minn. National Guard Soldiers Deploy For Iraq

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It's a day many Minnesota families won't soon forget.

More than 200 National Guard members are being deployed to Iraq.

But before they go, those heroes and their families were treated to a steak lunch.

This is the 10th year "Serving Our Troops" has been organizing events to show support for Minnesota National Guard soldiers and their families, and photojournalist Mike Durenberger was there to capture the moments before the troops left for their year long mission.
