Fmr. Robbinsdale Police Chief Pleads Guilty To Prostitute Solicitation

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The former chief of police in Robbinsdale pleaded guilty to soliciting a prostitute earlier this year.

Steven Smith, 45, was arrested in Coon Rapids during a prostitution sting in February.

He didn't resign from his job as police chief until after he was charged one month later with a misdemeanor.

Smith was arrested along with 10 other men in the prostitution sting.

Smith has a year of probation and needs to complete an anti-prostitution program.
