Report: Juvenile Arrested In Connection To Northern Minn. Wild Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in northern Minnesota arrested a juvenile Wednesday for suspicion of arson in connection to a wild fire that burned more than 70 acres.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office said the juvenile is from the area, the Northland's NewsCenter reports.

Authorities responded to the fire, which burned 76 acres, at around 1: 30 p.m.

Up to five homes were evacuated, but none were lost.

No injuries were reported.

Nearly 100 firefighting personnel responded to battle the flames, the NewsCenter reported.

The wild fire was considered contained at about 5 p.m.
