Local Music Tap: 'Music In Mears' Lineup Announced

The ever-growing Music in Mears concert series is back for its 11th year of free local music rocking Lowertown in St. Paul.

In 2004, Brian Horst founded the (then humble) music festival located in Mears Park. Its focus: presenting local music to Minnesotans. (You can read more about that in last year's blog post.)

The event begins Thursday, June 12 and runs every Thursday through Aug. 12. Music begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

Now, the lineup is out and it looks to have a variety of acts for the entire family to enjoy. Check it out below.

2014 Lineup:

June 12: Galactic Cowboy Orchestra, Farewell Milwaukee
June 19: Benjamin Cartel, Melismatics
July 10: Fort Wilson Riot, Communist Daughter
July 17: Nathan Miller and Unstoppable Company, Sans Souci Quartet
July 24: Carnage the Executioner, Toki Wright & Big Cats
July 31: Small Cities, The New Standards
August 7: Brian Just Band, Cactus Blossoms
August 14: Greycoats, Chris Koza Band
August 21: Ambulance Chaser (members of High on Stress), 3 Minute Hero

You can follow the festival's updates on Facebook and Twitter.

The festival is also asking for tax deductible contributions for help funding the festival. Click here for more information.
