Police: 14-Year-Old Beaten With A Lock, Tased By Group Of Teen Girls

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 14-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted in Folwell Park in Minneapolis by a group of teenagers around 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 2.

According to Minneapolis Parks and Recreation, the teen, who is a Teen Teamworks employee, was surrounded by a group of approximately 15 teenage girls.

The main aggressor then allegedly began hitting the victim with a lock.

The victim was then Tased by the suspect.

Officials said the group left the area before squad cars could arrive.

The victim was treated by paramedics and taken to North Memorial Medical Center by her grandmother.

She had cuts and bruises on her head and face.

According to officials, the victim apparently knew her attacker.

Police are still investigating the attack. Anyone with information should call Minneapolis police.
