Mom Who Skipped Parental Exchange Arrested In Ohio

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 44-year-old woman who violated a court-ordered parental exchange in Wisconsin is in custody after being arrested in Ohio, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.

Amy Winterfeldt was supposed to bring her 4-year-old son to his father in Appleton, Wis. on July 12, but never showed up.

Det. Sgt. Paul Follmann says Winterfeldt was arrested without incident late Friday night in Ohio after she was pulled over by the state patrol for a vehicle equipment violation.

She will also face charges in Ohio for having two firearms, which is illegal for a fugitive.
