Sections Of I-35W Closed In Bloomington, Burnsville

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A heads up if you're heading down Interstate 35W in the south metro, you'll need to take a detour.

MnDOT has closed the southbound lanes between Interstate 494 and 94th Street in Bloomington, Minn.

Also, northbound I-35W is closed between the 35-split in Burnsville and 94th Street.

The closures are due to crews demolishing the 94th Street Bridge deck.

WCCO was told they'll need to close I-35W in Bloomington one more time, but that date hasn't been determined yet.

The freeway is scheduled to reopen by Monday morning.
