MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 51-year-old man is in custody Thursday for allegedly shooting at another man Sunday evening.

According to the Carver County Sheriff’s Office, police responded to a call of a gunshot at 8:47 p.m. Sunday at a residence in the 300 block of Park Street E. in New Germany, Minn.

Upon arrival, the caller, a 30-year-old male from Dassel, Minn., told police he had been shot at while drinking with friends.

The victim said an adult male fired at him with a 12 gauge shotgun.

Police said the alleged shooter missed the victim, but did put a hole in the adjacent wall.

The suspect later admitted to police that he fired the gun.

Police said the suspect was then taken to Carver County Jail where he is awaiting formal charges.
