MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 30-year-old Linwood, Minn. man is dead after colliding with a truck in Linwood Township Sunday afternoon, according to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday at 4:22 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the accident at the intersection of Fawn Lake Drive and Julliard Street.

The truck, driven by a 56-year-old Stacy, Minn. man, was traveling westbound on Fawn Lake Drive when it made a left hand turn onto Julliard Street. The motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Fawn Lake Drive and struck the front of the truck as it turned in front of the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured.

The accident does not appear to be alcohol-related, the sheriff’s office said.
