Teen May Face Charges After Fatal Crash In Montrose

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 17-year-old girl may face criminal charges after a fatal head-on crash in Montrose, Minn. Thursday morning.

The crash happened at about 9:39 a.m. on Highway 12 near Zephyr Avenue, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The teen allegedly crossed the center line while traveling eastbound on Hwy 12 in a 2001 Chevy Impala, hitting the driver of a 2003 Suzuki Road Sport motorcycle head-on.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen, who was the sole passenger of the Impala, did not suffer any apparent injury. Her name is currently being withheld.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating.
