FRIDLEY, Minn. (WCCO) — A crash has injured at least five people early Friday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash happened at about 4:16 a.m. on Interstate 694 on the ramp to East River Road.

The state patrol says a Chevrolet Trailblazer was speeding when the driver ran off the ramp and rolled over several times.

The driver — 21-year-old Charles Ginyard III — suffered non-life threatening injuries. His 42-year-old father Charles Ginyard Jr. was listed in serious condition.

There were three others in the vehicle when it rolled over. Two of the passengers were seriously injured, and both were not wearing their seat belts.

Investigators say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Authorities are still investigating the accident. It was not immediately known what led to the vehicle to roll over.
