Bob Dylan To Play 3 Concerts In Minneapolis This Fall

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One of the most beloved institutions of Minnesota music history will be making a three-concert home stand in November.

The artist just announced he will be performing for three nights at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis as part of his North American tour.

Dylan, who has long addressed political topics in songs like "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changin'," will perform the first of these concerts the evening of Election Day -- Tuesday, Nov. 4. Two more concerts will follow on Wednesday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov. 6.

The tour includes over 30 performances at 15 venues.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, Sept. 5 at 10 a.m.

Recently, a draft of Dylan's song "Like a Rolling Stone" -- ranked by the list-aggregating site Acclaimed Music as the greatest song of the modern era -- sold at an auction for $2 million. Earlier, the famed guitar he plugged in at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965 sold for nearly $1 million.
