1 Dead In Carver Co. Rollover

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man is dead after a rollover crash in Carver County Sunday night.

Forty-year-old Bradley Scott Schauer, of Young America Township, died after sustaining serious injuries in a rollover crash.

According to the Carver Co. Sheriff's Office, police responded to a call around 2:30 a.m. Sunday of a fight in a Norwood Young America residence.

While en route, police learned that one of the men involved in the fight had left in his car.

Police continued to the original location where they learned Schauer and the homeowner were friends.

Schauer had gone to his friend's house for a bonfire with his wife and two kids. Schauer wanted to drive home, but his friends and family fought with him to stay because he had been drinking.

Schauer fought with his friend and ended leaving.

Police said they went to the Schauer's home but he was not there.

Around 3:10 a.m. police found a single vehicle rollover crash on County State Aide Highway 33, just north of CSAH 50.

After investigating the crash, police determined the man involved in the crash was Schauer.

Police said Schauer was driving southbound on CSAH 33 before rolling into a ditch on the east side of the road. He collided with a field approach during the rollover.

Police said Schauer was ejected from the car. He sustained serious injuries from the crash.

Schauer was taken to Ridgeview Medical Center then Hennepin County Medical Center where he later died.
