Ramble Jam
Chase Rice is the headliner at Ramble Jam in Farmington – a huge country festival Friday and Saturday. The proceeds go to the Rotary Club of Farmington. It takes place on the Dakota County fairgrounds.

Macy’s At Ridgedale Grand Reopening
Macy’s combined the men’s and women’s sections to make room for a Nordstrom that will show up at the Minnetonka mall. Saturday, there will be a cooking demo at 1 p.m. and a shopping party at 2 p.m.

Golden Valley Arts & Music Festival
The free event kicks off with a parade at 9:30 a.m., then an art fair, live music from 11 a.m. until 9:30 p.m., food trucks show up at 10 a.m. and it all happens at the city hall campus, 7800 Golden Valley Rd.

Walker Art Center’s ‘Avant Garden’
Avant Garden is part of Minneapolis-St. Paul fashion week with music, cocktails and an art auction celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Walker. It’s a big benefit for the Walker’s award-winning artistic and educational programming.

Woofaroo
Can Do Canines is a New Hope nonprofit that connects assistant dogs with people who need them. They raised more than $150,000 last year. Woofaroo is a walking festival that begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at Can Do Canines on 9440 Science Center Drive in New Hope.

Mill City Farmers Market 4th Annual Bread Festival
