Even if they weren’t actually eating.

“I was really excited! I was hoping it wouldn’t be as cold as it has been the last few days, but it’s perfect now,” Kristine Gill, of Apple Valley, said.

“I’m hooping. I’m hula hoopin’, yeah,” U of M senior, Joanne Weishar, said.

Weishar took up “hooping” when she started college. She takes her routine outside on nice days.

“That’s why I brought it because otherwise I’d be inside doing homework, but while it’s nice I might as well take advantage of it,” Weishar said.

“Louis, he’s only thirteen weeks old so he needs some exercise. So, we’re out here enjoying it until he’s covered in snow,” Joe Jensen, of Minneapolis, said.

With snow still a few months away and the hot summer days behind us, it’s a little bit easier to get out and enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer.

“This is perfect. We were doing it [yoga] in the middle of July, one of those days when it was in the 90s, and everyone’s just dripping. No, this is perfect. Great weather,” Gill said.
