MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in Maplewood say an 84-year-old man who went missing on Tuesday has been found and is safe.

Arthur Robert Arnold, Jr., of Maplewood, left his home at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday to go to a St. Paul barbershop, but never got there. Authorities said it is believed that Arnold suffers from the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

Police said Arnold was found Wednesday morning walking in a rural area in Dakota County near Cannon Falls. He was taken to a local hospital due to exposure to the cold. Police said his vehicle, a 2010 maroon Lexus RX 350 four-door sedan with Minnesota license plates 247-BMZ, has not been located.
