Man Dies 6 Weeks After Shooting At 400 Soundbar

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 27-year-old Bloomington man died on Sunday, about six weeks after being shot in an incident at a downtown Minneapolis nightclub.

Minneapolis Police say the shooting happened at about 1:40 a.m. on Aug. 8 at 400 Soundbar, located on the 400 block of 3rd Avenue North. That's the same incident that sent nine people to the hospital, including Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Linval Joseph. He suffered a minor gunshot wound to the calf.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim Thursday as Dion Darnell Nathaniel Toney. Authorities said he died of complications from multiple gunshot wounds and his manner of death was a homicide. He was pronounced dead late Sunday night.

The bar has been closed since the shooting. Minneapolis police said the gunman had an intended target and that they believe the incident was gang-related.
