It’s Thursday, that means the WCCO Morning Show team is looking at fun things to do this weekend. We’re looking at a #Top10WxDay, and there’s a little of everything for you this week, from family fun to fun for the adults. Here are a few ideas worth thinking about.

Renaissance Festival
The end of summer means the end of festivals and fairs. This is your last weekend to get out to Shakopee for the Renaissance Festival. “Shamrocks and Shenanigans” is the theme. There will be Irish dancers, a kilt competition, and free Guinness lager tasting on top of all the usual fun. It all happens from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and parking is free.

Junk Bonanza At Canterbury Park
Calling all junkers, antiquers and flea market lovers. This weekend is the annual Junk Bonanza at Canterbury Park. Starting Thursday at 10 a.m., the indoor event offers not only shopping but guest appearances and workshops. Food is also available at several venues on site. The cost is $9 and it goes through Saturday at 5 p.m.

Can-Struction At MOA
If you find some old cans at Junk Bonanza, maybe you can use them at Can-Struction going on at Mall of America. It’s a design and build competition showcasing colossal sculptures built from ordinary cans. Can-Struction is a national charity that collects millions of pounds of food for local food banks. The event is on both Saturday and Sunday in the mall’s rotunda.

Oktoberfest At Mill City Museum
October is a big month for beer lovers and the Mill City Museum is celebrating with Oktoberfest. This Saturday will be the eighth annual celebration. There will be activities inside the museum, in the courtyard and in the farmers market. Don’t forget beer tasting and live music. It all starts at 8 a.m. and goes until 2 p.m.
