Federal Agents Search West St. Paul Restaurant

WEST ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Federal immigration agents have searched a Minnesota restaurant as part of an investigation.

Agents from Homeland Security Investigations searched the Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet restaurant in West St. Paul Tuesday. The division is part of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Gail Montenegro, a spokeswoman for ICE, said in an emailed statement to The Associated Press that agents are "conducting an ongoing criminal law enforcement action in the greater Twin Cities area." No additional details were being released due to the ongoing investigation.

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office declined to comment. The restaurant's phone rang unanswered, and a handwritten sign on the door said the restaurant was closed Tuesday.
