Preps For Twin Cities Marathon Begin; Expect Detours
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Twin Cities Marathon is still a few days away, but preps around the course are already underway and it may mean motorists will need to plan a detour.
At around 9 a.m. Thursday, several roads around the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul closed, including John Ireland Boulevard and Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
On Friday, Aurora Avenue will close and then the rest of the course, which includes 12th Street, Wabasha and Summit, will close Saturday and Sunday.
Everything will be back open again around 2 p.m. Sunday.
