Police Return Baby To Hospital Following Reported Abduction

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in central Minnesota say a baby was returned to a hospital Thursday morning less than an hour after the child was reportedly abducted.

The Melrose Police Department said officer responded to the Centra-Care Health Facility at around 9 a.m. after it was reported that a baby had been abducted. With the help of hospital staff and the baby's family, police were able to make sure the child was brought back to the hospital unharmed.

Police said a family member found the baby. Another family member is believed to be responsible for the abduction, police said.

No arrests have been made.
