MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Diabetes is a disease that affects millions of people.

And this weekend, at the American Diabetes Expo, you can meet with some experts and learn how to live a healthy, full life.

Dr. Farha Khan, an endocrinologist from Allina Health, stopped by the WCCO studio Friday.

“The numbers by the CDC are staggering,” Khan said. “Whether you have Type 1 or Type 2, it’s all about commitment. In many diseases, almost every disease, education does change outcome.”

The expo will feature chefs teaching how to cook healthy meals.
