With Fewer High School Grads, 'U' Unveils Plans To Attract Students

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- University of Minnesota officials are expecting a decline in high school graduates in the near future, and that means they're coming up with new ways to attract students.

The U is planning to ramp up recruitment of out-of-state students, increase financial aid and continue a two-year freeze on tuition.

The trends were presented in a report at the October meeting of the board of regents.
