Woman Charged In Fatal Mpls. Strip Club Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A St. Paul woman is charged with a fatal shooting inside a downtown Minneapolis strip club.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said Tuesday 29-year-old Jasmine Nicole Jones is charged with second-degree murder. Thirty-two-year-old Lakisha Marie Neal, of Minneapolis, was shot in the head just after 1 a.m. Saturday at Augie's Bourbon Street Cabaret. She died at the scene.

A criminal complaint says the two women had been feuding for some time. Witnesses say an argument became a physical fight with bouncers separating the women.

The complaint says Jones later turned herself in at the Hennepin County Jail and brought a handgun with her. It's being tested to determine if it's the murder weapon.
