MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Benedict, Minn. man was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to attempting to suffocate his foster son Friday.
Dennis James Sullivan was charged with second-degree attempted murder, and first-and third-degree assault charges.
Sullivan pleaded guilty to attempted first degree assault on Aug. 25.
Officials said he attempted to suffocate his foster child by placing a latex glove in the child’s airway.
