2 Injured In Head-On Crash In St. Louis Co.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two people were injured in a head-on collision in St. Louis County Saturday morning, police said.

According to police, 23-year-old Christian Dertinger, of Ely Lake, was traveling eastbound on Ely Lake Drive when he lost control of his vehicle and hit 22-year-old Megan Paul, of Ely Lake head-on.

Both suffered non-life threatening injuries.

They were taken to a Duluth hospital for further treatment.

Police said icy road conditions caused Dertinger to lose control of his car.
