Minneapolis, St. Paul Schools Cancel After-School Activities
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Public schools in both Minneapolis and St. Paul have canceled after-school activities in anticipation of further snow.
The Minneapolis Board of Education meeting will continue as scheduled, though, as will a number of other activities for adults. The Zone 2 high school information session is also canceled.
After-school child care in Minneapolis schools will remain open until 6 p.m.
In St. Paul, evening high school classes, early childhood family education, and other adult community education courses are among the events canceled for the evening.
The snow began falling in Minnesota at around 3 a.m. The eastward-moving system threatens to dump around a foot of snow on a swath of the state, and some areas could see as much as 18 inches.

The evening commute looks to be even more hazardous as the morning one, as heavy, wet snow is expected to fall on the metro around noon.
