MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Target may be continuing its push to get into the liquor business, as officials with the retailer say they want to add a liquor store inside of its existing Super Target in St. Paul’s Midway area.

The retailer reportedly also recently filed paperwork to open a liquor store at its St. Louis Park location.

Currently, Target only has one liquor store in the state as part of a pilot program. The store is located at the Otsego Super Target.

Community groups have recommended that Target hold public hearings for both of the proposed locations in order to give everyone the chance to weigh in.
