MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The snow and frigid temperatures did not keep die-hard Gopher football fans from tailgating Saturday morning.
“We are staying warm today,” a stalwart fan said. “Layers are a good idea, something warm in here is also a good idea. We are having fun, it’s a good atmosphere.”
Fans were outside TCF Bank Stadium well before the 11 a.m. kickoff.
Aside from layers of clothes, tailgaters kept warm with gas heaters and plenty of hot food and drinks.
Fans were bundled up, excited about the big game against Ohio, though it didn’t turn out so well for the Gophers.
