Neighborhood Roots Hosts Annual Winter Farmers Market

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Farmers markets aren't just for summer anymore!

Neighborhood Roots is holding their annual Kingfield and Fulton Holiday Farmers Market Sunday at the Bachman's flagship store.

You can have breakfast or lunch while shopping for handmade gifts like knitwear and body-care products.

And you'll even see some fresh veggies.

"Our farmers are done out in their fields right now,, but they still have lots of root crops that they've been storing. So they'll have things like potatoes, and beets, and carrots, and onions, as well as winter squash and apples.  Some of them will even have fresh greens that they've been growing in their hoop houses," Alexandria Cortes of Neighborhood Roots said.

The market is inside Bachman's on Lyndale Avenue in Minneapolis.

Doors open at 9 a.m. Sunday and close at 1:30 p.m.
