Former Viking Esera Tuaolo Talks Holiday Album On Rosen's Sports Sunday

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Esera Tuaolo spent eight seasons in the NFL on the defensive line, including a four-year stint with the Minnesota Vikings.

He also participated in a Super Bowl with the Atlanta Falcons in 1999, but now he's taking on a whole new adventure with a singing career. Tuaolo is involved with a holiday music album that's raising money for Twin Cities charities and nonprofit organizations. The album, titled "Holiday Lights Volume 6," is benefiting the St. Paul Police Foundation and the Union Gospel Mission.

Tuaolo said singing has always been a passion of his, and he started doing it as a child. In his next big upcoming event, he'll be performing with local star Nicholas David on Dec. 6 at the Fitzgerald Theatre as part of the "Christmas at the Fitzgerald."

Also part of the event are local musical talents Alison Scott, Eric Gordon and Phil Thompson. Proceeds from the concert will help to support Holiday Lights in the Park, organized by the St. Paul Police Foundation.

"My whole life since I left football has been all charity," Tuaolo said. "It's what the holidays are all about. It's been all about music and giving back to charity."

Holiday Lights, Volume 6, features 15 tracks and is available at all Kowalski's Market stores.
