13-Year-Old Charged With Making List Of People To Kill

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A Chanhassen middle school student faces a felony charge after the school received an email containing his hit list.

According to the criminal complaint, the 13-year-old suspect is a 7th-grader at Minnetonka Middle School West in Chanhassen.

According to police, the boy showed a fellow classmate the list he had written on his iPad.

"This is a list of people I want to kill," he told the classmate, according to the the complaint. "Your name is in the middle of it."

According to the criminal complaint, school officials questioned the boy when he returned to school and he admitted to making the list.

He told school officials he has since deleted the list, but police are examining the iPad.

The boy was arrested Tuesday after Minnetonka Middle School West called police.

He was charged Friday with making terroristic threats. The school says the boy will not be in class on Monday.
