MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – We’re more than eight months away from the next Minnesota State Fair, but one of the biggest names in country music will be at next year’s “Great Minnesota Get-Together.”

Officials said Monday that Carrie Underwood will have a show at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29 at the State Fair grandstand with a special guest that’s yet to be announced. Tickets, which will cost $65 and $50, will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Underwood has twice been named the Academy of Country Music’s Entertainer of the Year and has won six Grammy Awards.
