MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – We’re two weeks away from Christmas, which means we’ve got a lot of family fun in this week’s Working for the Weekend.

Lorie Line Christmas Special
She is a Minnesota icon and a music diva in a good way. Lorie Line is back with her annual Christmas show at the State Theatre. It’s a great time and essentially a winter requirement for living in Minnesota.
It’s extra special this year because it’s the 25th anniversary of the show. There will be two shows on Saturday at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the State Theatre. Tickets are $53.
Wells Fargo Winter Skate
It’s one of the best winter events of the holiday season, and it’s happening in downtown St. Paul. Rice Park is the host of the annual Wells Fargo Winter Skate and provides some outdoor skating fun for families and people of all ages.
The Wells Fargo Winter Skate is open daily through Feb. 1 at the Landmark Plaza in St. Paul. It’s free to skate, but if you need to rent skates the cost is $4.

Everybody loves a pub crawl, especially when the money spent goes to a good cause. St. Paul is hosting the Santa Crawl this weekend. It’s a charity pub crawl benefitting Toys For Tots. All pub crawlers who bring in a new, unwrapped toy for the donation box will get one drink ticket good for a beer or hard cider.
The event starts at 5 p.m. Saturday, and tickets cost $20. There are eight different bars on the crawl, including Tiffany’s Sports Lounge, Groveland Tap, O’Gara’s Bar and Grill, Billy’s on Grand, Shamrock’s Bar and Grill, Burger Moe’s, Eagle Street Grille and Amsterdam Bar and Hall.
Disney On Ice
If you need to get a little Disney fix in, Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul is hosting the annual “Disney on Ice, World of Fantasy” show. Many of your favorite Disney characters will be featured in the show. They include some of the stars from “Cars,” “Little Mermaid,” “Toy Story” and “Tinkerbell.”
Show performances run Thursday through Saturday and there’s a total of eight shows. The tickets range in cost from $10 to $72.
Holiday For Heroes
Another favorite event of the holiday season is the “Holiday For Heroes” at the Mall of America. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday at the Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America.
