MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A car collided head-on with a semi-trailer in Wadena County Saturday killing a 23-year-old man and seriously injuring another.

The passenger of the Oldsmobile Alero, Gabriel R. Kemp, of Bluffton, Minnesota, died. The car’s driver, Tyler Langer, 22, of Wadena, was seriously injured.

Langer drove over the center line of Highway 71 and struck the semi head-on, just south of the city of Wadena, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The driver of the Volvo semi-trailer, Jovanny Vega, of Chicago, had no apparent injury.

The name of the passenger is expected to be released Saturday afternoon.
