Haskell's, Vincent A. Restaurant Hosting Dinner For Charity
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- White Truffle dinner, it sounds like a great holiday meal. The four-course meal at Vincent A. Restaurant this Wednesday has a hint of truffle in every bite.
Executive Chef Vincent Francoual stopped by Monday on WCCO This Morning, along with Ted Pharrell, owner of Haskell's Wine & Spirits, to discuss an extraordinary one-time-only White Truffle Dinner to be held Wednesday night. It'll be at Vincent A Restaurant in Minneapolis to benefit Second Harvest Heartland.
The four-course dinner, created by Vincent, is paired with wine chosen by Haskell's Farrell and includes:
- Potato and white truffle salad with chestnut veloute
- Sun choke, tarbais bean, poached rggs and white truffle "pesto."
- Veal and white truffle, with crones and pearl onion
- Cheese fondue, shaved truffle and compressed apples
Francoual already started working on meal preparations Monday. The pound of white truffle is worth $1,200. Farrell and Francoual decided to collaborate, combining Vincent's culinary skills with Jack's wine knowledge, to put together this once-in-a-lifetime Dec. 17 dinner to help fund Second Harvest Heartland. The dinner costs $200 per seat, with $100 donated to Second Harvest Heartland. Seating is limited. For reservations, call 612-630-1189.
Vincent A Restaurant is located at 1100 Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis, across the street from Orchestra Hall. Valet parking will be available for the regular $6 fee. For reservations or more information, call 612-630-1189 or visit Vincent A Restaurant online.
